Knowledge of sand\u2013silt mixture dynamics, especially under wave effects, is still limited, even though many coastal systems worldwide are silt-dominated (e.g., Mekong Delta, Yangtze Delta, Yellow River Delta). To improve our understanding, a laboratory experiment was conducted in a full-scale oscillatory tunnel using various sand\u2013silt mixtures. Two silt fractions (D 50 = 30 \u00b5m and 50 \u00b5m) were mixed with sand (D 50 = 150 \u00b5m) at 20% and 40% silt content to investigate the effects of grain-size ratio and silt content on bed characteristics and transport processes. To quantify transport and bedform evolution, acoustic and optical instruments were used (e.g., Acoustic Doppler Velocity Profiler, Acoustic Backscatter Sensor, Laser Bed Profiler).
